The real taste of Punjab at Oye Amritsar -

Getting the taste and flavours of rustic vibrant Punjab , miles away in Bangalore is not easy,in spite of the mushrooming of many so called punjabi or north Indian restaurants all over the city.

However, inhabitants of Bellandur and adjoining sarjapur road area, can visit Oye Amritsar for their punjabi food cravings. With fairly good portioning , good dhaba style dishes , and warm hospitable service , this place has become one of my absolute favourites since its opening. Since thee decor here is minimal , fairly basic, the focus here is more on good food experience. from their vast menu , among the starters, I could only try few kababs , Monewal de Tikke and Dhuanwale Lahori Seekh , that were simply delectable , with good meat quality , near perfect marination and well cooked too. After the satiating starters, we tried their Dhabe di ralwali dal, well cooked assorted lentils and tempered with mustard and garlic , instead of their usual Dal makhni.
