Restaurant Review : Suryawanshi – Maratha & more
It was finally Dusherra time after 9 days of being vegetarian and I was looking for a a new cuisine in Bangalore. Lot of my friends have recommended this place and since we were visiting the whitefield area, we chose to have our lunch at Suryawanshi.
Tucked in a by lane of Whitefield and situated on the 2nd floor with a decent ambiance and glassed kitchen, I was expecting a good sumptuous maratha meal.
The menu offers its customers variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis along with alacarte dishes.
We opted for the alacarte and ordered the following:
- Kolhpuri Fried Mutton
- Kolhapuri Masala Mutton
- Bangda Fish Curry
- Sol kadi
- Plain Rice
- Phulka
Being from spice loving Rajasthan , we enjoyed its kolhapuri dishes a lot.
The malwani fish curry with rice had its own charm. The taste was quite similar to what I had in Maharastra.
The service was great and courteous.
The portioning is excellent and good for 2.
I would definitely visit this place to relish its remaining menu.
Must visit place for authentic Maharshtrian non vegetarian cuisine
