The award-winning restaurant BAR BAR is hosting a special limited edition menu of succulent and flavourful wings
I was recently invited to try this Chicken wings menu that features six varieties of chicken wings , the perfect starters with favourite drink at the India’s 1st wholesale pricing bar ,located at Bengaluru Phoenix Marketcity Whitefield.
The history of Chicken wings dates back to 1964 when it was first served at Anchor Bar in Buffalo , USA. It is said that the dish was created by Teressa Bellissimo, who covered them in her own special sauce and served them with a side of blue cheese and celery because that’s what she had available. THE CONCEPT
The Bar Bar has been conceptualised on the concept of More the Merrier concept. Therefore its tagline says ‘More of You, Less of the Bill’.
THE DRINKS MENU
The drinks menu has 3 category , namely the Popular, Premium and Luxury. The each of the these category has a selection of spirits: whisky, vodka, rum, gin and even liqueurs brands. If the entire group / table sticks to a category and orders at one go, they can hit MWP (Maximum Wholesale Price). At MWP drinks start at as low as Rs 99. The key innovation to look out for is the Bartender’s Bottles that are community drinking trays with a 750ml of potent cocktail, a bar snack and garnish.
THE FOOD MENU
Under the leadership of Chef Kenny , the regular menu here has been curated exclusively for Bangalore. Among others, It includes loads of Bar snacks including the dishes from Tandoors and Grills , mains and healthy dose of salads and grills. Some of the notable dishes here , are the Baked Cheesy Masala Crab, Mangalorean Mutton, vegetarian and non vegetarian Kebab platters , Double Cooked Pork Belly etc.
THE WINGS FEST MENU
Non-vegetarians can feast on different wings like Maple Bacon, Fiery Wings, Cheesy, Thai Curry and more at a pocket-friendly price of Rs 399. Whether you want to stick to the safe Khatta Meetha Wings or try something innovative like Boozy Wings to get you high, the menu has you sorted.
