Now Whitefield gets their own Ebony- the iconic restaurant of Bangalore | Indiaf
When I came in Bangalore in 2005 , nearly 15 years ago , MG road was mostly the hub of culinary scene in the city of Bangalore. Ebony , along with 13th Floor, situated on the top Barton Centre was one of my favourite places during the weekends. Opened in 1993 , this restaurant has been one of pillars of culinary excellence in Bangalore , any old Bangalorean will readily agree with me.
The latest one , at Whitefield, is housed on the first floor of posh Miraya Rose complex, very close to Kundanhalli gate. The interiors of Ebony here remind me of Colonial era ambience , with a extended open area dining with a view.
The menu here has dishes from the Indian and European cuisine , with many dishes having the colonial influences like The Madras Club Mulligatawny Soup , The Gymkhana Cesar Salad , Salonee Brocolli , Brown Sahib Scotch Eggs, The Tranquebar Chutney Prawns ,Fort William Chicken Jalfrezi etc.
Their Indian classics from like the Balti Rogan josh , Dilliwale Chole Kulche , Dal Dhaba , Gulab Jamun Handiwala , Kakori Kabab etc are unmissable here too. They have a impressive Cocktail menu and wine list to pair with food, making it one of the most desirable places to dine in whitefield.
