Restaurant Review : Mamagoto Blockbuster menu at Bangalore | India
Read Time:1 Minute, 16 Second
The Fun with Food gets better at Mamagoto, my go-to restaurant for the toothsome pan-asian and oriental cuisine.
Situated on the bustling 12th main in the happening Indiranagar , I was here couple of month ago to try their “Asian Blockbuster” menu , a chef’s very own interpretation of fusion of Japanese and asian food ,that was reminiscent of wonderland straight out of comic strips.
The apogee of my visit were clearly their range of dumplings, Imperial treasure Veg dumplings for the vegetarians & Spicy prawn dumplings for the sea food lovers like me, well marinated Lamb Bulgogi baos and Aromatic fish bowls. For the love of vegetarians , they also have crispy mushroom bao , crispy tofu in chili sauce and aromatic tofu bowl, a perfect fit for vegans.
The Turnip cake and made-to-please Prawn Har Gao dumplings with special chive-infused coating were sheer delight to have. The Mango and sticky rice is too part of their special menu.
Before I miss out , let me tell that we also had the opportunity to try some of their exotic cocktails like Watermelon vodka martini , Lemonzest and mint lemonade. Sangaria Pichers priced at INR 999 is certainly a great way enjoy the meals.
MY TAKE
Unarguably, the food here is not authentic (they never claim to be either) . It is, in fact, a culinary expression inspired by the foods from the asian streets and their unending kitchen quest for serving great Asian food.Â
