Love Scotch - Love Life ! World Whisky Day -

Every year there is a day when world celebrated its love for Whisky with full pomp and show. For those who may not be aware, the World Whisky Day that is held on the third Saturday in May each year.

Saturday, May 20th , 2016 – India’s leading scotch whisky company , USL – Diageo spearheaded the its biggest global campaign ‘#LoveScotch’ to commemorate World Whisky Day.The top Bollywood celebrities like Randeep Hooda , Mandira Bedi , Dino Moreo along with Coco Rocha graced this scotch glitterati event at one of the most happening destination of Bangalore, Hotel Shangri La on the scintillating Saturday. Rajiv Mehta (CEO, Arvind Fashion Brands & Arvind Sports Lifestyle) was also present from the fashion retail industry.

It was a eventful evening where the celebrities shared their vivid experiences of their love for whisky with media and bloggers. The ever charming, Dino was very candid about his first tryst with the whiskey very early in his life. The dashing Randeep and vivavcious Mandira too shared their scotch memories with all of us. The Canadian beauty , Coco Rocha perhaps was more vociferous of all to confess her undying love for scotch.

When we asked the celebrities about their choice of whisky, Mandira expressed her fondness for Singleton whisky while Dino showed his liking for Black & White whisky. Randeep chose Black Dog over others while Coco was seems to be more inclined towards Johnny Walker though she loved other brands too.

During this event,the master whiskey bartenders and celebrities demonstrated some of the innovative whiskey cocktails to the enthralling audience.The West Coast Julep from the Black Label , Ardrossan Americano from the Double Black , the Gold Label‘s Golden Mai Tai and the Highland sour made from the Singleton of the Glen Ord 12yo were truly delight to savor.

The event was then followed up with the Pub crawl to two of the most favorite drinking destinations at posh UB city mall. Accompanied by the scotch ambassadors, the group of whisky lovers visited the Skyee Bar and lounge at Sanchos and showcased their love for the whisky with fun and frolic.
