Get nostalgic at CANTEEN , the old school eatery at Indiranagar. -

From the F & B house that has brew brands like Vapour, comes the new concept that will leave you nostalgic. The Canteen, conceptualised on the theme of old school eatery , that serves economical food by the piece and drinks by the bottle.

This mess style eatery has mostly bench style seating , along with some comfortable sofas for family dining with a scenic 100 ft road view. The one pager menu on both sides , serves limited old school dishes that are reminiscent of food joints of 90’s era. Think of food being served in no frill steel bowls , similar to ones in dhabas and quaint places in the northern India.Its per piece menu, I feel , is quite attractive as one can try more dishes at lesser price.

Even when you are eating alone , you can have a sumptuous array of dishes here without hurting your pocket much. With your favourite brew , one can order the classics chakhnas like Peanut Masala and Fryums , to begin with.

The Kabab lovers will love this place too , as they can relish some good varieties of vegetaraian and meat options here. The paneer and spinach filled Faluadi kabab and the Elephant Yam seekh are must haves for all vegetarians here. For the Meat eaters , the Mutton Galuati , sheekh kabab and prawn fry are definitely must haves.

I was in absolute love with main course dishes , as I feasted on their Keema Matar , makhmali kofta and Dal Makhani with array of Indian breads. Among the desserts , my favourite has been their mildly sweet Pista Phirni.
