Dial BIRIYAN for Bengali Food Delivery in Bangalore -

With large populace of eastern and north eastern Indians in the city, there was a need for places that serve authentic Bengali cuisine. However such such options have been sparse and extremely limited, I feel.

While speaking to most of my foodie friends from bengal, they felt that most of the places that takes pride in serving bengali cuisine are at best sub-par and adulterated with below par ingredients. Thus soiling the whole idea of Bengali food in the city.

Recently, I came across BIRIYAN, a delivery only place on Zomato while browsing for some Bengali food in my part of the Bengaluru. After due diligence with my Bengali friends, I ordered few dishes from them.

I was totally bowled over by their Mutton Shammi Kebab, Chicken Chaap and Mutton Kosha. They were absolutely brilliant in taste and reminded me of my tenure in Kolkata years ago. The Kolkata style Biryani with signature Alu (potato) was very flavourful. Glad we ordered that.

The high points of our experience with this Bengali delivery kitchen was the authenticity of the food flavours, straight from the kitchen of Bengali household. I was told by one of my friends who is their regular customer, that they prepare home style food which is 100% devoid of Dalda and artificial colours / flavourings.

The City of Bengaluru being melting pot of cultures and cuisines, the Brand “Biriyan” is an attempt at bringing back the authenticity of Bengali cuisine for the residents here at Bangalore.
