Get Thigh @ HIGH with Thai Food Fest
Thai food is one of the most liked cuisines globally and my favorite too. With array of bland, mild and spicy flavours, and varying cooking styles, this cuisine has evolved with an extensive influence of the Eastern and western over long period of time.
The pride of Bangalore and one of India’s tallest rooftop restaurants , High Ultra Lounge is hosting the Thai Food festival at 421 feet high between 18th – 31st March 2016.
Under the aegis of internationally acclaimed chef from Myanmar, Chef Myo, the festival brings to its esteemed guests an authentic Thai food feast.
I was there for its preview with few food fanatics this Saturday. The menu had agglomeration of handcrafted delicacies prepared with authentic ingredients thus augmenting the various delectable Thai flavors.
Before I discuss about the food, I would like to mention about the magnificence of this place. It takes 30 floors and few minutes of exciting escalator experience to reach this enchanting destination that makes you feel at the top of city with a breath taking view of the “Namma Bengaluru”.
The entrance here reminds me of the Scandinavian exuberance. The whole charm and welcoming vibes will lead you to the the 10,000 sq feet dining and bar place with four distinct spaces.I have always found the atmosphere mesmerizing here.
My good old friend Guru, the Prince of Good Drinks welcomed us with some of the great looking cocktails from his creation.,
The Chef told us that the Thai fest menu has been prepared keeping in mind the vegetarian and non vegeteraian palates of their clientle. We were served a lavish spread with wide range of dishes that include the delectable Thai style fish cake , the Thai style deviled egg to tom kha phak, the Rendang curry and seafood tom yum. That’s not all! Relish your taste buds with main course such as stir fried mix veg and steam rice with soya sauce, phad phak, Randang Curry, Steamed Banana with Coconut Milk, to name a few!
