With the massive influx of Bengalis in the city , there has been rise in the eateries serving the cuisine from Bengal and eastern India.Having stayed in Calcutta (read Kolkata) , I am also fond of the bengali food , be it ghoti or Bangaal. The Ghoti food , it is said , has a colonial influence and hence it is little subtle and light. The kitchens of Bangaal , on the other hand, have tanginess in their dishes due to usage of tomatoes. Their food is richer, with the use of Paanch phoron (five spices mix) and Morich bata (taste of pepper).

This newly opened bengali fare restaurant at sarjapur road in the kaikondrahalli area , primarily serves cuisine from the city of joy , Kolkata. The menu has some popular breakfast options like Luchi / Phulka with alor dom or cholar dal and Koraisutir Kochuri. If you happen to visit them during weekends , you can also get Hing Kochuri with subzi or Daal puri , both being their weekend specials. With dining options, they have tried to include many popular dishes and snacks from capital city of Bengal. We tried quite a few from the menu , some were decently good and rest not so good. Their service levels too need great improvement. And I hope my experience will be better when I visit them next in couple of months. I am yet try their Kolkata style biryani , as it was unavailable when we visited them last.
