Auntie Fungs starts delivery in Sarjapur Road. -

In last 5 years, visiting south east Asia has almost become a annual ritual for me. Though this year was understandably different, my penchant for Asian food has grown over the years due to these frequent visits and I do crave for same in Bangalore.

I know Auntie Fungs as an Asian street food brand from its earlier days when Shubradeep, the owner used run this place from another location. And during my first visit in 2016, I was very impressed with the menu they served to us. It was during feedback conversation, I had asked him “why don’t you open one at Sarjapur Road ? ” But then I guess he had no such plans.

Now few years later, Auntie Fungs has finally arrived at Sarjapur road as a delivery only place. The menu here is in line with their vision of bringing various flavours of street food from across Asia to the food lovers of Bengaluru at an affordable price. It is really tough to recommendation few, as I have tried and loved the entire gamut of dishes there especially the signature dishes from the far Eastern countries like Burmese Khowsuey, Indonesian Nasi Goreng, Vietnamese Pho, Japanese Yakitori, etc which was till now available only in the fine-dine restaurants.

It is heartening that Asian food is getting prominence in the city and they too have played a significant part through her authentic recipes and value pricing.

I was told that they have strong focus on quality like fresh ingredients, no MSG or artificial colour added, lots of options in menu that are steamed or grilled or soup style- Auntie Fung’s has ensured that her offerings are heart warming, comfort, healthy food.
